Responsibilities + Build and improve core Windows experiences that millions rely on daily. + Partner with design, product management (PM), data science and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions. + Use data and customer feedback to refine features and ensure quality, performance, and accessibility. + Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. + Participate in code reviews and follow secure-by-default engineering practices. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of features across devices and services. + Stay current with emerging technologies (including AI and cross-device protocols) and apply them to enhance user experiences. Qualifications Required Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, + OR equivalent experience. + Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. + OR Master's Degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. + Demonstrated understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design principles. + Solid problem solving and collaboration skills; effective communicator in both remote and in office settings. + Enthusiasm for working with AI/ML powered agents or desktop applications. + Familiarity with .NET 9 APIs (e.g., modern threading). Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
