THE ROLE ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Prepare invoices and reconcile settlement documents for events (concert, shows, sports, etc.) for multiple venues. + Assist with accounting close process adhering to tight deadlines and account reconciliations. + General ledger accounting – prepare journal entries including event income and expense, accruals, payroll entries, outstanding bank transactions, and ticketing reports. + Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and general ledgers. + Assist with invoice preparation and accounts receivable monitoring across all venues. + Assist with year-end audit. + Record and post payments, apply cash receipts and oversee all deposits. + Maintain and audits box office ticket sales reports. + Assist with monthly sales tax filing. + Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required + Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills + Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management and clients + Ability to function independently with minimal supervision EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE + Two-year associate’s in accounting or B.S. in Accounting or a similar combination of education and experience + Thorough knowledge of general and cost accounting + Excellent math skills and attention to details + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required + Experience with Sage 50 a plus. SKILLS AND ABILITIES + Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting + Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling + Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment + Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required. + Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff including management. + Ability to work irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays + Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines + Must have professional attitude and appearance COMPENSATION Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
