As the world’s leading venue management company and producer of live event experiences, Legends Global is the preeminent management and content partner for over 450 venues worldwide.Position OverviewThe Business Development and Communications Manager is a dynamic, highly skilled professional responsible for supporting revenue growth, communications, sponsorship activation, and brand presence for LAEC.This individual will manage internal and external communications, oversee sponsor, partner and event promoter deliverables, and coordinate business development initiatives in alignment with LAEC’s strategic goals. They will also support creative and digital production to ensure consistency across public-facing materials, special events, and venue messaging.This role is an essential on-site partner to the Executive Director, Business Development & Communications — ensuring that business initiatives, community relations, sponsor obligations, event promoter relationships and communications projects are executed seamlessly and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development Support• Assist in developing and executing sales, sponsorship, and community partnership initiatives.• Support creation of pitch decks, presentations, and visual collateral for prospective partners and clients.• Coordinate on-site partner activations, sponsor deliverables, and brand integrations.• Prepare monthly reports and graphs tracking business development outcomes and ROI.• Manage CRM and contact lists for customers, clients, onsite boarders and trainers, business, sponsor, and media relations.Communications & Public Relations• Draft and distribute press releases, media statements, newsletters, and operational communications.• Maintain and update media contact lists and community relations databases.• Coordinate with the corporate marketing team to ensure alignment of content and brand assets.• Manager Press and Media content deliverables and schedule.• Support Executive Director in public spokesperson duties through research, briefing materials, and content prep.• Manage community and partner communications, including tourism bureaus, chambers, hotels, and city departments.Sponsorship & Partnership Coordination• Assist with sponsorship programs, ensuring timely delivery of all partner benefits.• Oversee on-site signage, branding, and promotional visibility for sponsors.• Track sponsor fulfillment and provide recap reports and analytics.• Support donor communications, fundraising campaigns, and LA Parks Foundation collaborations.• Manage Event Promoter and Horse Show Promoter relationships with their teams to acquire assets and event details and to create their deliverables.Creative & Content Production• Develop digital and print collateral including flyers, signage, event displays, and presentations.• Manage venue website content and digital listings for events and promotions.• Support social media and e-newsletter content creation in collaboration with corporate marketing.• Manage photography, videography, and content documentation for site promotion.• Design branded art to be used for permanent and directional signs.Event & Operational Support• Partner with Events and Operations to coordinate messaging, schedules, and signage for shows and public events.• Provide content, communications and design support for weekly operations emails, equestrian events, private events, and film productions.• Coordinate internal signage, wayfinding, and emergency communications as needed.Tools You’ll Use• Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)• Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)• CRM and contact management software• Email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)• Squarespace or other CMS for website updates• MAC computrerQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Business preferred; equivalent experience accepted.• 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or business development.• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.• Strong design sense and comfort with digital tools.• Demonstrated success in project management, events, or partnership coordination.• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.• Familiarity with venue operations, sponsorships, or hospitality is highly valued.Additional Information• This position requires full time on-site presence and occasional evenings or weekends for event support.• Must be proactive, resourceful, and comfortable in a small but high-performing team.• Legends Global and LAEC are Equal Opportunity Employers that value inclusion, innovation, and collaboration.
