    DESCRIPTION:

    Duties: Design, develop, and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Perform code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Technology and Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Engineering or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation.

     

    Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Developing software using a Microservices platform that can consume and provide business functionality as a REST API; building web applications that retrieve data from REST APIs or GraphQL APIs using authorization and authentication protocol such as Oauth; designing and implementing integrations using Kafka Topics for sending application data to enterprise data hubs or enterprise data lakes; developing and automating data transaction processing systems to drive and improve product experience; building scalable data pipelines leveraging scheduler or executor frameworks for ingesting data into and out of web applications; developing software utilizing Spring and Spring Boot and Maven or Gradle to resolve application dependencies; building applications that utilize JSON formatted data files and service payloads for data transfer; performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using programming language including SQL queries and GraphQL queries and mutations; processing large data sets using multithreading with Java Future and Completable Future.
