The Forklift Operator of Watco Logistics Retail Services is responsible for safely operating warehouse equipment while ensuring the safe handling of warehouse inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)

+ Perform transportation, distribution & maintenance operations

+ Efficiently conduct picking and put away procedure with high level accuracy

+ Adhere to all Warehouse safety policies & procedures

+ Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements

+ Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security

+ Ability to accept and productively react to fast-changing work environment

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

+ Proven work experience in warehousing and/or in the distribution industry

+ High level of attention to detail

+ Team player with decision making and problem-solving skills

+ Verbal and written communication skills

+ Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies

+ Thorough understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management System)

+ High school/GED completion preferred

+ Transportation or related experience preferred

+ Forklift operation certification preferred

+ Workplace safety certification preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent interruptions and regular high noise level. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

+ Must be able to adapt and work in warm and cold temperature environment

+ Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse
