Job Description Summary

The Freight Pay Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational execution of freight payment processes across the organization’s global footprint. This leadership role is responsible for driving process excellence, optimizing freight payment systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

This role involves managing relationships with service providers, implementing and maintaining system setups for new and existing company codes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of freight invoices, and optimizing freight payment systems for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Freight Pay Manager will foster collaborative relationships with internal departments and external partners to streamline operations and support the overall logistics strategy of the company.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

+ **Freight Payment** **Operations:**

+ Lead and manage the end-to-end freight invoice auditing, approval, and payment process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

+ Monitor and resolve exceptions and discrepancies in freight payments, proactively addressing issues to prevent payment delays.

+ Develop and implement standardized procedures for freight payment across all business units and geographies.

+ **Service Provider Relationship Management** :

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers to ensure service levels are met. ensuring adherence to contractual service levels and invoicing standards.

+ Manage expectations with service providers on their invoicing quality and practices by conducting regular performance reviews with providers, addressing quality issues and driving continuous improvement in payment practices.

+ **System Optimization & Automation**

+ Implement and maintain freight payment systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with industry standards.

+ Identify and execute process improvement initiatives, leveraging automation and digital tools to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

+ **Data** **Analytics & Financial** **Reporting** :

+ Analyze freight payment data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.

+ Prepare regular reports on freight payment. KPIs, financial performance, and compliance metrics to senior leadership.

+ **Collaboration and Communication:**

+ Work closely with Finance, ERP, Procurement, and Logistics teams to align freight payment processes with company objectives.

+ Facilitate effective communication and issue resolution between internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment and transparency.

+ **Compliance and Risk Management:**

+ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards and company policies related to freight payment.

+ Identify and mitigate risks associated with freight payment processes, maintaining robust controls and documentation.

+ **Leadership & Project Management**

+ Lead multiple cross functional meetings to help ensure prompt payments to provider base

+ Support calls for business rollout initiatives, providing subject matter expertise and project leadership.

+ **Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

+ Minimum of 6 years of experience in freight payment, logistics, or related roles.

+ Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.

+ Demonstrated expertise in freight payment systems, invoice management, and process optimization.

+ Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

+ Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ **Preferred Qualifications** :

+ In-depth knowledge of transportation industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

+ Working Conditions:

+ Hybrid office/remote work environment, with occasional travel required for provider meetings, audits, and project implementations.

The base pay range for this position is 98,400.00 - 131,200.00 USD Annual The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 15% variable incentive compensation. This posting is expected to close on _11/17/2025_

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
