    POSITION SUMMARY

    The essence of the Industrial Painter is to prepare and finish products by performing light bodywork and applying paint finishes using a HPLV on a variety of materials. This person is responsible for staging and curing painted products, inspecting refurbished materials, and ensuring precise, high-quality results that meet customer specifications.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Prepare surfaces through sanding, filing, priming, and light bodywork

    + Apply high-quality finishes using HVLP spray guns in a wet paint environment

    + Paint various materials (e.g., stainless steel, fiberglass) to meet customer standards

    + Stage products for painting and drying; maintain a clean, organized workspace

    + Inspect refurbished items and recommend improvements

    + Communicate effectively and work collaboratively to uphold quality standards

    ATTRIBUTES

    + Able to prepare products for paint application using body filler

    + Able to stand and prep all parts for extended times throughout shift

    + Takes ownership and prides themselves in delivering a high-quality product

    + Good working knowledge of metal preparation and finishing

    + Able to sand and finish product before painting

    + Able to coach others on sanding and prepping materials for paint

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + 3+ years in industrial or auto body paint environments

    + High school diploma or GED

    + Familiar with paints, body fillers, hand tools, and sanding equipment

    + Basic computer skills

    + Able to lift 50+ lbs and support team with heavy tasks

     

    The target hourly range is $25.00 - $30.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
