             Work Schedule Other Environmental Conditions Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance Job Description Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.'s dynamic team, contributing to innovative chemical processes for a healthier, cleaner, and safer world. Essential Functions: + Operate both automated and manual chemical process equipment, performing related tasks like sampling, handling chemicals/materials, cleaning, and maintaining equipment following Standard Operating Procedures. + Ensure the process area remains clean and safe at all times. + Complete manual and computer operations using the Rockwell PlantPAx® Distributed Control System to produce spray-dried products, while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies. + Monitor process operations to ensure adherence to safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. + Record and analyze processing data against standards, making approved adjustments to maintain process parameters. + Recommend improvements to process operations. + Acquire and test samples of process streams or products, recording and analyzing results to take appropriate action. + Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications regarding appearance, foreign substances, and packaging or labeling requirements. + Take in and inspect material shipments, recording details as per company guidelines. + Coordinate and document Quality Systems to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies. + Carry out all responsibilities in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety guidelines, ensuring essential compliance status. Education: + High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Experience: + Minimum of 2 years of experience in production/manufacturing as an operator or equipment maintenance technician, or an associate degree. Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred. + Strong mechanical proficiency and experience in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts with 7-day per week availability and work approved overtime as needed.
