             Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Under the direction of the Design Team Lead, the position will create and revise simple to complex assembly drawings for new bioprocess container using AutoCAD. Drafter will also be required to run costing for updated/created designs. Assist in training of BPC Designers. Work on projects as assigned by manager. Key Responsibilities: · Create and revise simple to complex bioprocess container chambers and assemblies according to redlines and/or product brief, understanding the various product families with their associated design requirements. • Use AutoCAD Mechanical to create product drawings using predesigned blocks or manually creating geometry as the design requires while following bioprocess container design guidelines. • Create/Test blocks as requested. • Effectively navigate within Sales Force to download design requirements and upload completed drawings. • Navigate through PDM Enterprise (electronic file management system) to check drawings in and out maintaining accurate drawing versions and histories. Able to search to find designs as needed. • Use Master Control (document management system) to pull specification numbers, complete training sign offs, and perform complex search. · Create templates to aid in the designing process. • Effectively communicate with team members and engineers. • Participate in meetings providing suggestion for team improvements. • Proactively participate in the company's continuous improvement programs taking the lead on assigned projects. • Practice Thermo Fisher Scientific’s core values, Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement in all daily activities. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent and previous drafting experience required; OR Associate degree, Technical Drafting. • Demonstrates the following: o Effective use of AutoCAD in completing simple designs. o Knowledge of common assembly components and processes. o Competence in Microsoft and other office application software. o Able to present product designs in clear, organized formats. o Ability to handle multiple priorities to meet customer needs. o Seeks appropriate information to understand course of action. o Organizational and interpersonal skills. o Ability to work as a team, collaborate with colleagues and share workload. o Ability to check their own drawings for accuracy. • Support 24hr/7day a week global operation. Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria: • Proficient in AutoCAD Application. • High school diploma required. This position has not been approved for Relocation Assistance.
