The Role:

Cognizant is seeking a motivated and innovative **AWS Developer** who is interested and eager to learn and grow into the role of an **Amazon Connect Developer** . This role will focus on building intelligent, scalable contact center solutions using Amazon Connect and other AWS services. The ideal candidate is a collaborative engineer with a passion for cloud-native development, AI integration, and customer experience transformation.

Qualifications:

+ Up to 5 years of software development experience, including hands-on work with AWS services.

+ Experience with:

+ **Amazon AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock, S3)**

+ **LangGraph**

+ **Amazon Lex**

+ **Model Context Protocol (MCP)**

+ **RAG**

+ Experience with contact center development, **custom integrations with CRM systems** such as **Salesforce** , **ServiceNow** , etc.

+ Ability to quickly learn and adopt new AWS services.

+ Solid understanding of **AWS cloud platform architecture** and best practices.

+ Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps practices, CI/CD tools and automation.

+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect).

Nice to have Skills:

• Amazon Connect exposure is nice to have, not required

• Knowledge of voice/chat bot development, telephony services & conversational AI.

• Understanding of data privacy and compliance in contact center environments.

Responsibilities:

+ Design and implement contact center solutions using **Amazon Connect** .

+ Develop and integrate AWS services including **Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock, S3** , and **LangGraph** .

+ Build intelligent workflows leveraging **Agentic AI** and **Generative AI** technologies and following Agentic Development models and experience with prompt engineering, RAG.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

+ Write clean, efficient, and testable code using **Python** .

+ Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards.

+ Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and mentoring activities.

+ Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Work Authorization:

Location:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 to 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in **Plano, TX or Bridgewater, NJ** .
