• Network Engineer

    ManTech (Crane, IN)


    ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Network Engineer** to join our team in **Crane, Indiana.** This is an onsite position.

     

    The selected candidate will provide the capability to research, design, develop, acquire, produce, and provide life-cycle support for the Navy's Electronic Warfare systems. This Core Equity encompasses and supports all surface shipboard electronic detection and guidance devices including electronic surveillance measures (ESM), electronic protection (EP), electronic countermeasures (ECM) and electronic attack (EA).

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Design and implement complex network solutions that drive innovation

    + Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve advanced network issues quickly and efficiently

    + Optimize network performance and security to meet the highest standards

    + Mentor junior network engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering growth

    + Participate in strategic planning to shape the future of our network infrastructure

    + Provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networks

    + Plans, designs, installs, maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, modifies, and supports network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience

    + 5+ years of experience in network engineering

    + In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols like BGP, OSPF, and VLANs

    + Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS

    + Experience in multi-level security networks including cross-domain solutions

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Relevant certifications such as CCNP or equivalent

    + Master’s Degree

    + Knowledge of automation and scripting tools like Python or Ansible

    + Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V

    + Project management skills to lead initiatives from start to finish

    + Ability to work independently and take ownership of critical projects

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have a Top Secret clearance to start with ability to obtain a TS/SCI prior to starting

    Physical Requirements:

    + The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

    + Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
