About the role

As a Program Manager – Engagement, you will make an impact by leading strategic programs, managing delivery milestones, and driving client engagement across multiple stakeholders. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with clients, executive leadership, and delivery teams to ensure successful program execution.

In this role, you will:

Serve as the primary liaison between Cognizant and client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Lead and facilitate executive meetings, status calls, and program reviews.

Oversee delivery milestones, track progress, and ensure timely execution of program objectives.

Manage scrum activities and agile ceremonies to support delivery teams.

Drive escalation management and resolution across program workstreams.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

What you need to have to be considered

15+ years of total experience, including 5+ years in program management.

Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders and facilitating executive-level communication.

Strong background in delivery management, agile/scrum methodologies, and client engagement.

Experience in people management and handling escalations effectively.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Proficiency in MS Project and enterprise agile tools (e.g., Rally, Jira, Confluence).

Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

Understanding of Java-based environments and technical delivery coordination

These will help you stand out

Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional programs in a technology-driven environment.

Strong leadership and organizational skills with a focus on outcomes.

Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive consensus.

Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive audiences.

Familiarity with project management tools and agile frameworks.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
