Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Developer with 6 to 8 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Liferay Java JavaScript CSS HTML and J2EE. Experience in the Claims domain is a plus. This role involves developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that align with our companys goals and positively impact society.

Responsibilities

+ Develop and maintain robust software applications using Liferay Java JavaScript CSS HTML and J2EE to meet business requirements.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance user experience.

+ Ensure the scalability and performance of applications through effective coding practices and optimization techniques.

+ Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.

+ Provide technical guidance and support to team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

+ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development processes.

+ Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and ensure adherence to best practices.

+ Document software designs and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.

+ Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives.

+ Implement security measures to protect applications and data from potential threats.

+ Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of development tasks.

+ Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and challenges.

Qualifications

+ Possess strong technical skills in Liferay Java JavaScript CSS HTML and J2EE with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

+ Demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in software development.

+ Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

+ Experience in the Claims domain is a plus providing valuable insights into industry-specific challenges and solutions.

+ Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model balancing remote and in-office work effectively.

Certifications Required

Liferay Certified Developer Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $97,000/Year to $114,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
