We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Indirect Tax to own and elevate our indirect tax function. In this role, you’ll lead everything from tax planning and audits to system improvements and team development. You’ll be the go-to advisor for leadership on all things indirect tax — ensuring compliance, driving efficiencies, and spotting opportunities to save the company money. *Location will be Hopkins, MN and can be a hybrid schedule Responsibilities + Lead our indirect tax strategy, act as the specialized subject matter expert, and ensure we’re compliant and smart in how we manage tax obligations across jurisdictions. + Manage processes and guide the team through indirect tax filings (sales & use, property, excise, fuel taxes, business licenses, etc.), accruals, reconciliations, and reporting. + Own tax research — translating complex laws into actionable strategies that protect and benefit the business. + Manage indirect tax audits from start to finish, representing the company and pursuing refunds or credits where possible. + Partner with and educate Finance, Procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure taxes are properly considered and accounted for in day-to-day business decisions. + Drive continuous improvement — from upgrading SAP platforms and integrations to maintaining the Vertex tax engine to strengthening internal processes and controls. + Keep leadership up to speed on new tax laws and what they mean for our business. + Mentor and develop team members, building bench strength and growing future leaders. Requirements + 7+ years of progressive experience in indirect tax, with at least some leadership/management responsibility. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA a big plus. + Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws; Canadian indirect tax experience is a bonus. + Comfortable navigating audits, presenting to leadership, and working cross-functionally with Finance and Operations. + Solid experience with SAP and Vertex + Strong communicator who can explain complex tax issues in plain language. + Organized, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the details. Compensation and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $117,750 - $196,250 annually with eligibility for a 20% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
