The Museum Division of the Secretary of State is seeking a Police Officer 1, 2 or 3 in the security section of the Old State Capitol. Minimum Qualifications No experience or training is required. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license. Willingness and ability to attain a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification. An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Routine patrols of assigned areas of the museum and enforcement of rules and regulations. + Greet employees and guests. + Remain vigilant to potential threats to persons and property. + May serve as shift supervisor in the absence of the Police Sergeant. + May work special assignments involving large crowd control. + Monitor security systems and surveillance systems. + Compiles daily activity logs.
