This position is under the immediate supervision of the McNeese Team Store Manager and assists the University Post Office Supervisor. Primary responsibility is to manage the process of all financial document preparation, daily cash handling, record retention, account reconciliation, payment processing and month end procedures. This position evaluates for data accuracy electronically and manually the financial documentation for all vending processes, MTS sales and returns and assists Administrative Accounting with all required documentation and reporting. The Accounting Technician in this position will not supervise other full-time staff but may supervise student workers and will be a key-carrying employee with the ability to Open and Close the Team Store in the absence of the Manager and/or Assistant Manager. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.
