As the Vaccine Access Manager, you will serve as a key leader within the Office of Public Health’s Immunization Program, driving strategies that improve vaccination rates in underserved communities. Minimum Qualifications Seven years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR A bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Leads statewide efforts to integrate health equity into vaccine planning and delivery, serving as a liaison with LDH leadership, regional partners, and community stakeholders. + Identifies populations with lower vaccination coverage and drives targeted strategies to improve equitable access and confidence in vaccines. + Provides guidance, training, and technical assistance to community partners, trusted messengers, and healthcare providers on health disparities and trauma-informed outreach. + Collaborates with communications teams to design and promote equity-focused campaigns, educational materials, and digital content that support inclusive vaccine access. + Oversees sub-grant programs, evaluates outreach initiatives, and supports grant reporting to ensure accountability and measurable impact across immunization equity activities. + Coordinates with Immunization Program unit managers, Regional Medical Directors, Parish Health Units, and others. + Develops systems and operations that enhance program impact on both general and target populations. + Participates in Immunization Program management meetings. + Supports the Immunization Program Director with coordination of program activities.
