    We have an outstanding career opportunity for aProduction Supervisorto join a leading Company located in theHutchins, TXsurrounding area.

     

    Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor directs the overall module operations, ensuring the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with the company's quality standards and customer delivery requirements.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.

    + Works in conjunction with the EHS Manager to establish and maintain all policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.

    + Complies with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards.

    + Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments to ensure the production of company products at the highest quality at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards , and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    + Ensure the training of new and present employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company's standards for quality, quantity, safety, and ISO/TS.

    + Participate in planning meetings, recommending space, personnel, and equipment requirements. Be part of the hiring process.

    + Ensure adherence to ISO/TS procedures and requirements, and participate in ISO/TS planning session s.

    + Recommend preventative maintenance procedures and plan the repair of machines and equipment to minimize downtime.

    + Continually evaluate processes and methods, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, utilization of people, and quality of product.

    + Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work problems, and assist workers in solving work problems.

    + Maintain departmental supplies, tools, equipment, and order as necessary.

    + Ensure the completion of all required production paperwork, records, and documentation, such as time cards , quality records , etc .

    + Approve vacation schedules.

    + Enforce safety regulations.

    + Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

    + Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.

    + Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

    + Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.

    + Conduct employee training on equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers .

    + Conduct employee probationary and eight-month performance reviews.

    + Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

    + Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.

    + Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.

    + Supervisory Responsibilities – Manage Lead Technicians and Manufacturing Technicians.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Two years of manufacturing experience.

    + Aerospace experience or metals experience.

    + Supervisory experience.

    + Safety experience.

    + Scheduling experience.

    + Bilingual in both English and Spanish.

    + Investment casting experience.

    + Must possess good computer skills and be able to learn new skills as needed.

    + This position requires one to two years of training.

    + Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees to share information, solves problems, and instruct or train lesser skilled employees.

    + Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as part drawings, shop orders, work plans, and short correspondence.

    + Must be able to write standard reports and documentation.

    + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    + Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

    + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    + Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    + Requires the ability to operate various equipment to include a computer , various precision measuring devices and lifting devices.

    + Requires a broad knowledge of tooling, material characteristics, and general manufacturing and machining practices.

    + Should be knowledgeable and/or familiar with applicable ISO/TS and quality system requirements and policies.
