Overview
The Fabrication Superintendent is responsible for providing leadership and direction for day-to-day fabrication operations of the assigned projects, direct and ensure shop execution plans support project schedules and ensure maximum profitability.
Responsibilities
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment through maintaining safety meetings, incident investigations and employee involvement.
• Provides key leadership direction for fabrication operations to ensure a cohesive team in conjunction with facility management.
• Coordinates and supervises all fabrication activities.
• Manages shop personnel priorities relating to technical ability and staffing levels to gain greater efficiencies to improve customer satisfaction and reduce cost. Includes working with business unit managers and operations manager to coordinate hiring of local staff, conducting performance review, recommending salary changes and resolving internal personnel issues.
• Responsible for coordinating all fabrication activities and directing supervising personnel as required to successfully deliver the shop orders/projects on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and direct hire personnel, while administering safe practices with all on-site activities.
• Performing material take-offs, order tools, material and equipment as required.
• Coordinating of work activities between trades.
• Ensuring all direct reports comply with OSHA standards and company work rules.
• Ensures compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements.
• Ensure the quality of work to corporate, code standards and project requirements.
• Conducts Staff Meetings Foreman and shop personnel, addressing management issues as well as safety and productivity improvements.
• Responsible for projects financial labor, material coordination and other cost type budgets and goals.
• Assists in coordinating and quality assurance of drafting resources related to fabrication/manufacturing on the project.
• Maintains company culture.
• Implements shop Productivity Improvements, assure project compliance and quality assurance.
• Maintains Customer Satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
• 10+ year’s verifiable experience as a fabrication Superintendent or above
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Travel Requirements
• 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Climbing stairs.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
Pay Range
USD $76,860.00 - USD $102,565.00 /Yr.
