    Job Description

    The Talent and Onboarding Coordinator supports Human Technologies’ mission of Creating Employment for People with Disabilities by coordinating efforts to both acquire qualified talent and acclimate newly hired employees to the organization. The Talent and Onboarding Coordinator role is critical to ongoing retention efforts.

     

    Hours are Monday- Friday from 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM.

    Requirements

    Predominant Talent Acquisition Tasks:1. At the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, manages the recruitment cycle for assigned territories, which are subject to change at the Manager’s discretion. This involves but is not limited to the following:- Process Personnel Requisitions for open positions and take responsibility for following up with the hiring manager to ensure that all applicable information is completed correctly.- Use available tools and resources to actively recruit qualified, quality candidates with a goal of filling open positions within 7 days of a personnel requisition being requested by the hiring manager.- Provides weekly updates to the Manager of Human Resources and VP of Human Resources on all positions in active recruitment. The format of the updates and information required will be directed by the Manager or VP.- Work proactively with hiring manager to develop a recruitment strategy for open positions. This will involve frequent communication with hiring managers, both in-person and via electronic communication methods.- Act as a consultative resource, especially for difficult-to-fill positions, offering ideas on how to increase position visibility. This may also include job description and compensation review to ensure that position requirements and rates are up to date.- Track and report recruitment metrics as directed by the Manager of Human Resources- Receive, screen, review, sort, log and maintain applications/resumes.- When applicable, inform applicants of acceptable forms of disability documentation (e.g. ACCES-VR records, IEPs, etc. – refer to documentation list)- Inform applicants of acceptable forms of identification based on I-9 requirements, and then all proper forms of identification once an offer of employment is made and accepted.- Build and maintain recruitment resources on an on-going basis. At the request of the Manager of Human Resources, produce reports of activity involving recruitment resources.- As needed, assist Internal Support Specialist in obtaining disability documentation.- Maintain HT’s applicant logs within the HR Database for Affirmative Action Plan.- Conduct preliminary interviews, create an applicant pool and make recommendations for hire to hiring manager. Collect all documentation on interview process, including responses to interview questions, provides to the HR Assistant to upload them into system.- Participates in follow-up interviews (other than initial screen) as needed, ensuring that the recruitment process is followed and is equitable for all candidates.- Track and provide correspondence for candidates.- Work with HR Assistant to initiate reference checking and background checks asrequired and/or assigned.- Work with hiring manager or designee to devise offers, make job offers to candidates, and set start dates. Provides information to HR Assistant to complete offer letters.

     

    Predominant Onboarding Tasks:2. At the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, oversees and delivers HT’s Onboarding Program, designed to welcome new employees into the organization, by performing the following tasks according to HT processes:- Schedule, deliver, and oversee New Hire Orientation program twice per week, for both in-person and remote participants. Ensure that the HR Assistant is aware of program times and dates so they may inform participants and presenters, and book location. Business needs will dictate whether more or less sessions are needed in any given week.- Advise the HR Assistant when a person is hired and direct the HR Assistant to inform the new hire of what they need to begin working, and schedule new hire orientation.- Advise the HR Assistant when a background check is needed for a position and follow up accordingly to check results.- Continually assess the effectiveness of the Onboarding process by conducting regularly scheduled 30, 60, and 90-day check-ins on newly hired employees, making sure to document and track results. Report any areas of concern to the Manager of Human Resources- Send and track new hire orientation evaluations and report results monthly to the Manager of Human Resources, who will share with the Vice President of Human Resources.

     

    Additional Tasks:Attend Job Fairs and other community events with recruiting opportunities, as needed. Works with Manager of Human Resources to track effectiveness of these events.Participate in/attend training as required by the Manager of Human Resources. May be tasked in developing and delivering Human Resources-related training on recruitment, selection, onboarding, and other HR-related topics.Review terminations and assist in exit interview process as needed, and as directed by the Manager of Human Resources.Maintain strict confidentiality of all information contained in reports, communications and files. Serve and participate on internal corporate committees and external committees as appropriate.Maintain knowledge of current trends and best practices in the field of recruiting, employee retention and human resources.Comply with safety policies and procedures for safety of self and others.Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Manager of Human Resources or VP of Human Resources.

     

    Qualifications:1.Bachelor’s Degree in related field.2.Three (3) years’ experience in a human resources or related field.3.A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to the above.4.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.5.Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.6.Excellence in multiple computer programs such as word processing, spreadsheets and email.7.Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation and have and maintain adriving record in accordance with Human Technologies’ Liability/Automotive Insurance carrier.8.Must pass any required federal, state, municipality, and/or customer-specific background checks.
