Description and Qualifications
The Internal Communications Partner is a communications strategist who works collaboratively with leaders at all levels to translate business needs into engaging and effective communications plans and internal content deliverables. A strong writer and seasoned communications professional, this position ensures that internal communications align with organizational priorities and are implemented to build awareness, foster connection, and promote engagement among the staff to advance LifeCenter Northwest’s life-saving mission.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Internal Communications Strategy and Execution
+ Leads the development and implementation of comprehensive internal communications strategies, including organization messaging, executive communications support, and leadership coaching to drive effective communication practices through the organization.
+ Designs and executes internal communication strategies that are informed by LifeCenter’s strategic plan, objectives, and organization priorities to support employee engagement and culture.
+ Serves as a strategic partner to the LifeCenter leadership team, collaborating on communication planning, participating in key meetings, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to ensure communication alignment. Assesses and responds to internal communication needs across the organization, developing tailored approaches that address diverse audience requirements and organizational dynamics.
+ Manages and optimizes corporate communication channels to ensure transparent, timely, and consistent messaging throughout LifeCenter, including (but not limited to) the employee intranet site, all-staff company meetings, department communications, weekly leadership e-news, and weekly all-staff e-newsletter.
+ Monitors emerging trends and industry best practices in internal communications, recommending and implementing innovative approaches to enhance employee engagement and information sharing.
Creative Content Development
+ Creates/writes engaging content for a variety of channels and internal partners (not limited to video, emails, online, and print) that reflect LifeCenter’s values, mission, and vision, including tailoring existing content for internal audiences
+ Provides ad-hoc copywriting and editing expertise for storytelling and engagement of our internal communications.
Project Management
+ Responsible for annual LifeCenter budget development for internal communication programs.
+ Responsible for annual program plan development and implementation of program plans to drive progress and growth for LifeCenter.
+ Develops and implements process for tracking and measuring communication effectiveness and ROI.
+ Manages content review and approval processes to meet editorial calendar deadlines, including managing recurring internal communications such as weekly e-newsletter.
Supervision
+ This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
Other Responsibilities
+ Participates in, and may lead, employee committees and events.
+ Complies with applicable laws, regulations, and LifeCenter policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
+ Strong writing and editing skills including content organization, message flow, grammar, proofreading, and editing (written samples and/or editing test will be reviewed).
+ Project management skills and proficiency in MS Office suite Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
+ Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines, and desire to be a self-starter.
+ Operating knowledge of SharePoint, Workshop, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment.

Physical Activities/Requirements
+ Some travel is required for this position; the employee must be prepared to travel by automobile and plane.
+ This position requires the ability to effectively operate phones, computers, and other office equipment.
+ The individual must have the ability to communicate clearly in English to accurately convey information and be able to hear at a normal speaking level both in person and over the phone.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
+ Generally working conditions do not require exposure to hazardous materials nor extremes in health and safety hazards. Work is normally performed in an office or hospital setting, and other business environments.
+ May be asked to move up to 25 pounds with or without assistance.
ANTICIPATED TIME COMMITMENT
+ The duties of this position will typically require 37 hours per week. Because of the nature of this position, the incumbent may need to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, sometimes without advance notice.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & JOB REQUIREMENTS
+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related experience with writing/editing emphasis preferred
+ A minimum of 8-years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in internal communications
+ Nonprofit organization and/or healthcare experience preferred.
+ Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or applicable medical or religious exemption will be required as a condition of employment upon offer.

LifeCenter encourages all employees to find balance and well-being and provides all employees access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and provides a quarterly Wellness Reimbursement. Employees enjoy paid holidays throughout the calendar year and earn 119 hours of PTO annually (to start) as well as Health Time Off hours that is earned 1 hour per 30 worked, paid living donor leave, two weeks paid jury duty leave after 6 months of service, and three weeks of paid parental leave after one year of service is complete. The pay range for this role is provided above. Where a candidate’s compensation falls within this range is based on several bona fide factors such as experience, tenure, and other specialized knowledge. LifeCenter Northwest is committed to providing its employees equitable and competitive compensation.
This position is eligible for compensation in addition to the base pay in the form of overtime.
