Job Summary:

The Engineer will maintain industrial equipment and auxiliary equipment in a prompt, efficient, and safe manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

+ None

Duties/Responsibilities:

+ Performs routine maintenance on industrial/auxiliary equipment and systems.

+ Maintains steam boilers, hydronic boilers/heating systems and hot water heating boilers.

+ Maintains HVAC systems and associated equipment.

+ Maintains emergency generator and electrical systems.

+ Addresses any problems

+ Maintains and updates required records for industrial/auxiliary equipment and systems.

+ Addresses any problems with industrial/auxiliary equipment and systems.

+ Contacts supervisor concerning potentially dangerous equipment or safety violations.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

+ Extensive knowledge of industrial industrial/auxiliary equipment, systems and maintenance

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent mechanical skills.

+ Ability to follow safety procedures and processes.

+ Excellent communication skills.

Education and Experience:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Technical/vocational school training and experience working with industrial boilers.

+ Valid state boiler operator 3rd class license.

+ Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. in a safe manner.

+ Must be able to work on ladders.

+ Must have good visual, hearing & communication skills to complete duties.

+ Must be able to work required outside in hot and cold temperatures.

+ Able to do considerable amount of walking and standing during the working day with some bending, stooping, and lifting.
