We currently have an exciting opportunity in Ground Systems Engineering to join our team located in Englewood, CO.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Serve as an individual contributor supporting the Ground Systems and Mission Operations Integrated Product Team (IPT) for assigned programs.
+ Ensure integrated solutions—including internal, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), and Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS)—support space mission Concepts of Operations (CONOPS).
+ Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches to the design, development, and testing of ground systems.
+ Support the development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), and test plans/procedures.
+ Collaborate with all levels of engineering staff on design, integration, and testing matters, and provide support to other teams/disciplines as needed.
+ Develop ground system requirements to support space missions and operational needs.
+ Assist in creating ground and operations-related program documentation.
+ Ensure test-driven requirements and development processes are followed.
+ Participate in the design of new space systems, including requirements alignment, design reviews, verification, and testing support.
+ Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair systems in assigned areas using standard engineering and scientific principles.
+ Provide end-to-end support for solutions/products throughout all project phases as required.
+ Prepare documentation and deliver technical presentations as needed.
+ Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

+ Provide engineering support:
+ Analyze, investigate, and resolve moderately complex engineering problems.
+ Exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant tasks.
+ Document findings, implement solutions, and communicate results to the team.
+ Collaborate primarily with internal teams, with occasional external or customer contact.
+ Offer direction to design or technician staff as needed.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelors degree or two or more years of experience with a masters degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
+ Experience with SysML and MagicDraw for developing and providing inputs to system models for the complete system is desirable.
+ Prior experience as a systems engineer supporting the development of satellite command and control systems and mission planning systems is desirable.
+ Must be able to quickly understand new concepts, apply them accurately in a dynamic environment, and organize work assignments to meet established deadlines.
+ Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
+ Must have active TS clearance and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
