    Newell is seeking an experienced Legal Manager with exceptional organization, communication and execution skills to join our Labor and Employment Law team in Atlanta. In this role, you will provide a full range of legal, administrative and operational support and help ensure compliance with labor and employment laws across the organization.     Responsibilities:

    + Support Newell’s Labor and Employment Legal Strategy under the direction of the Senior Counsel, Labor and Employment

    + Manage files and records of cases in which Newell is a party, including preparing records for production in government investigations or litigation

    + Manage document and records production in response to subpoenas, document demands, DSARs and other lawful requests for information by preparing responses and collecting and reviewing documents and information

    + Collaborate with counsel to monitor, identify and summarize new laws and regulations impacting Newell and prepare related training materials and communications to create awareness within the company

    + Develop and maintain playbooks, FAQs, guidelines, checklists, self-service tools, process flows and procedures to help continuously improve the delivery of substantive legal advice and guidance to internal colleagues

    + Act as a key liaison with a network of global counsel and help manage a variety of legal matters across the company

    + Analyze data, prepare reports, participate in assessments and recommend improvements, focusing on driving efficiencies and creating operational excellence

    + Provide support on labor and employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, restructurings and other events impacting the company’s employees

    + Work closely with the litigation team and assist attorneys in preparing witnesses for testimony and other representation of the company

    + Oversee and/or conduct complex and sensitive internal investigations; ensure appropriate documentation exists and develop mechanisms for follow-up and tracking

    + Manage vendor relationships to ensure efficiencies and compliance with Newell’s vendor guidelines

    + Provide and coordinate substantive legal support and provide guidance and support to managers and HR business partners on employee relations matters

    Education and Experience:

    + Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience

    + Master’s degree in law, Human Resources or a related field, or a JD a plus

    + Proficient knowledge of labor and employment law such as Title VII, EEOC complaints, workplace investigations, discrimination and harassment claims, employee privacy laws, and U.S. state-specific requirements

    + Proven track record of progressive knowledge and experience

    + Fluent in Spanish is a plus
