Shift: M-F 7a-330p, one late shift per month (No weekends/No holidays)
Job Summary: The Technical Coordinator is responsible for preventive and current maintenance of instrumentations and equipment utilized in the Cath Labs as well as EP Labs. Also, responsible for troubleshooting, making minor repairs, and coordinating with service representatives when needed and reports directly to the Cath Lab/EP Lab manager.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. Certifications will be earned as employee attends classes given by different vendor companies in proper instrumentation/equipment/operating system maintenance.
Work Experience: 6 months to 1 year related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated evidence of working knowledge and or experience in working with X-ray equipment, and or various biomedical equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Performs first line service on X-ray and electrical equipment. Schedules vendor service when necessary. Develops new and innovative ideas and incorporates materials and equipment for maximum benefit of the department. Communicates closely with the Cath Lab staff, Dispatch and Manager regarding operational status of labs and equipment. Examines purchase orders and work orders before they are placed with vendors. Coordinates the installation of equipment. Assists with negotiating prices and contracts with vendors. Provides in-services to people using the equipment. Helps with establishing protocols for programs installed in operating systems. Attends mandatory in-services and meets department educational standards. Accurately completes any variance reports. Modifies behaviors or performance to comply with care standards and meets department requirements for customer service.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.
Working Relationships: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
