About the Role & Program:
ILM IT Operations is the backbone of technology support across Lucasfilm’s divisions—including production, corporate, and Disney business segments—based at our San Francisco headquarters. Our team delivers comprehensive IT services, from desktop support to networking, telephony, and backend infrastructure.
We are looking for a driven Agentic AI Intern to join our IT team in Summer 2026. This role offers hands-on experience with advanced AI technologies, focusing on the development of autonomous IT support agents that enhance help desk operations through process automation and intelligent user support.
What You’ll Do:
As an Agentic AI Intern, you will:
Agentic AI Development:
+ Analyze and normalize IT service data (knowledge articles, support tickets) for AI training.
+ Build and test workflows for multi-agentic environments.
+ Develop autonomous AI agents for triaging and resolving common IT issues.
+ Research and create a proof-of-concept for AI-driven first-tier IT support.
Production Technology & Infrastructure Support:
+ Ensure production technology readiness for Feature Production projects.
+ Test new products and assist with technology deployments and infrastructure audits.
+ Support technology refresh cycles and server deployments.
Documentation & End-User Support:
+ Assist in creating and updating knowledge base articles for end-user support portals.
+ Document processes, project results, and prepare clear presentations and reports.
IT Operations:
+ Contribute to daily tasks: inventory, ticket handling, troubleshooting.
+ Support system builds, network wiring, system upgrades, and operational refreshes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
+ Attention to detail, adaptability, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
+ Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts and an interest in software testing and quality assurance.
+ Motivated to work on collaborative, real-world AI projects.
+ Previous IT support experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
+ Experience with Windows and Mac systems; familiarity with Linux.
+ Knowledge of database concepts and vector embeddings.
+ Proficient in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
+ Experience with data manipulation tools (Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
+ Strong collaboration and communication skills; familiarity with film/video post-production and computer graphics is highly desired.
Education:
+ Junior or Senior year preferred
+ Major or previous coursework in in Film, Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
+ Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
+ Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
+ Be at least 18 years of age
+ Possess unrestricted work authorization
The pay rate for this role in San Francisco is $31.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as
