    We seek a _safety-conscious_ **Union** **Driver** to join the team at our **LeMay PCR** location in **Frederickson** **, WA** . Previous waste experience would be a huge _plus_ !

    PAY AND SCHEDULE:

    + Starting wage is $30.49/hour, which is 91% of the full union scale. Full scale is $33.51/hour, as outlined in the Teamsters Local 313 collective bargaining agreement.

    + A typical schedule for this position is **Monday through Friday** , with an occasional Saturday as needed and a 45-hour work week.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Ability to safely operate a refuse truck on specified routes to collect recyclables.Wasteexperience _is preferred_ but not required.

    + Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.

    + Perform routinevehicle inspectionand maintenance, such as checking fluids,safety equipment, and tires.

    + Ability to perform a physically demanding job,loading and unloading, sometimes with no helpers.

    + Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose trash at designated facilities.

    + Courteousinteraction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    + A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with an occasional Saturday as needed.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND** **PHYSICAL** **EFFORT:

    + Extensivephysicalactivity. It requires strenuousphysicalwork, includingheavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.

    + The work environment involves some exposure tophysicalrisks, such as moving mechanical parts, which require following basic safety precautions.

    + The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    + Valid Class BCDLwithair brakesendorsement as a minimum.

    + Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    + Minimum one year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

    + Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.

    + **Safety Sensitive Role:** This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to the responsibilities involving vehicleoperationandphysicaltasks.
