    Overall Job Summary

    This principal purpose of this role is to create, design and implement engaging interactive experiences for our digital customers. This role will assist TSC by providing experiential knowledge on how consumers will use shop for TSC products and solutions. This role is responsible for the creation & delivery of design concepts, detailed wireframes, prototypes, atomic design library and components, & interaction design specifications.

     

    The Senior User Experience Designer will help co-create and evolve the customer experiences for Tractor Supply’s digital properties including our websites and mobile applications. This UX professional has proven experience developing customer facing digital experiences and works well in a cross-functional team.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

    + Review and analyze metrics in order to develop and contribute to continuous improvement, driving a best-in-class customer experience

    + Work closely with the cross-functional team to collaboratively design intuitive user experiences

    + Ensure design vision is executed consistently across all digital properties including web, mobile web, and mobile applications (iOS & Android).

    + Create solutions to complex interface and interaction design challenges. Find intuitive solutions to core user interactions, with an emphasis on usability and customer satisfaction scores.

    + Adhere to current SEO industry best practices and design techniques

    + Bring user experience design concepts to life by creating deliverables including user flows, wireframes, mocks, and prototypes.

    + Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques including customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.​

    + Oversee user research, competitive research, and usability testing throughout the design process including A/B testing of proposed functionality.

    + Iterate consistently to arrive at a solution that exceed expectations and create points of digital differentiation.

    + Communicate design intent to both internal and external teams with an emphasis on explaining the design approach and advocacy for users’ needs.

    + Utilize analytics for continued usability and layout improvements.

    + Facilitate and present at design reviews;, presenting storyboards, prototypes and/or finished product.

    Required Qualifications

    Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in user experience design.

     

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

    Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

    + Experience in development using HTML, CSS, Java, or Dreamweaver and the use of Website Content Management Systems (preferably Adobe, IBM WebSphere, Website Analytics, and/or Open CMS).

    + Experience working in Agile (including participation in agile ceremonies)

    + Deep understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, technology, and procedures within the field of web and application design, including usability and accessibility standards, user interface design.

    + Ability to concisely document and express user experience standards that can be readily understood and applied by both leadership and developers.

    + Project Management: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritize projects.

    + Familiarity with website segmentation, A/B testing and other optimization techniques.

    + Familiarity with analytics tools such as Adobe Test & Target, Usertesting.com.

    + Proficiency in MS Office.

    + Good oral and written communications skills.

    + Data driven, with attention to detail.

    + Creative, curious, and proactive strategic thinker.

    + Sound judgement and problem solving skills.

    + An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job will be considered.
