    Our client, an industry leader in financial services and investment management, has an excellent opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to work on a 12+month contract opportunity. Work will be a hybrid on-site/remote schedule in Westlake, TX. The Cloud Engineer will assist in leading initiatives in Customer and Account management & and Security Master and Pricing applications with a diverse scope and will act as the main interface between end users, product owners, and the information technology organization.

     

    _Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._

     

    Rate: $70 - $76 / hr. w2

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide support through deep technical knowledge of distributed systems, understanding of business processes and system workflows.

    + Closely work with the Engineering leads, Enablement leads and participate in research to identify effective new solutions design.

    + We combine the software development skills with native tooling from cloud providers and enterprise tooling to help develop cloud centric ecosystem employing modern architecture and services.

    + Proven experience with sophisticated architectural builds and technology initiatives

    + Passion for technology and can stay on top of the newest technology trends

    + Highly motivated teammate with strong communication, and organization skills

    + Experience working in agile development environment

    + Hands on experience in Test Driven Development

    Experience Requirements:

    + Application development on Public Cloud - AWS Managed Services, ECS, EC2, EKS, Serverless Framework/Lambda, API Gateway, Step Function, S3, ALB, Route53

    + Containerization technology like Docker (deployed on ECS, EKS)

    + REST API development using Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS

    + Experience with Database: Oracle, NoSQL Database (DynamoDB)

    + Repository Management – Github/Bitbucket

    + Support tools like Splunk/Datadog/Kibana

    Education Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

    + DevOps CI/CD tools like Terraform, Jenkins

    + Develop/Implement automated test cases using BDD, TDD testing framework (JEST, Cucumber, Mocha, Selenium, Istanbul)

    + Good understanding of Digital Certificate management

     

    _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
