    Overview

    Introduction: Why This Role Matters

Generative AI is fundamentally reshaping how marketing operates. The ability to create and adapt content at scale is quickly becoming a core enabler to compete in this new space. We need highly scalable AI Native platforms to meet customers with timely, relevant messages across every channel. Experimentation and personalization cannot be siloed, but need to be fully integrated into the content supply chain to allow marketing teams to test, learn, and tailor experiences in real time. All of this must come together with privacy built in from the ground up, ensuring that innovation never compromises trust. For Intuit, the Director of Product Management, MarTech, Customer Experience Management sits at the center of this transformation—bringing together AI, content, experimentation, personalization, and privacy into an integrated ecosystem that delivers exceptional customer experiences across every channel.

    Scope of the Role

The Director serves as the product leader for Intuit’s internal Martech ecosystem across five tightly linked domains: Generative AI, Content Management, Experimentation, Personalization, and Privacy. The scope spans multi-year strategy and roadmaps, day-to-day execution oversight, and sustained cross-functional influence. In practice, this leader defines how AI transforms marketing workflows, evolves CMS and asset systems into an AI-ready content supply chain, scales the experimentation platform and culture to power rapid decisionmaking, orchestrates real-time omnichannel personalization, and embeds privacy by design across all marketing channels. The Director partners with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Legal, and Privacy leadership to align investments with company strategy and ensure our MarTech foundations keep pace with Intuit’s AI-driven vision.

    Responsibilities

    Generative AI and Marketing Automation

The Director defines and executes the strategy for embedding generative AI across marketing, moving from isolated pilots to durable capabilities. This includes translating business objectives into an AI roadmap, identifying high-impact use cases such as content generation, automated campaign orchestration, conversational assistants, and real-time optimization, and sequencing delivery to show measurable value early while building toward a multi-year vision. The Director partners closely with engineering and data science to integrate large language models and Agentic infrastructure into marketer workflows in ways that are reliable, safe, and performant. They establish governance for AI outputs—setting standards for factual accuracy, brand tone, traceability, and human-in-the-loop review—and institute feedback loops so outcomes inform model and prompt improvements over time. The role demands fluency in AI product design, from data and model choices to prompting strategies and evaluation, coupled with pragmatic build-versus-buy judgment and deep alignment with enterprise AI platforms.

Content Management and Generative AI Optimization

Content platforms are the backbone of personalization and AI. The Director owns the vision and evolution of Intuit’s CMS and digital asset systems so that marketers can create, manage, and distribute content efficiently across channels. The focus is on transforming the platform into an AI-ready content supply chain: enabling first-draft generation, assisted editing, auto-tagging, localization, and metadata enrichment within the authoring flow, while maintaining version control and reuse at scale.

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy is a key deliverable of this leader. Just as search engine optimization once shaped how content was created for visibility, GEO ensures that content is structured, governed, and enriched in ways that make it highly usable by generative AI systems. This means maintaining robust taxonomies and metadata so that generative models can retrieve and remix content accurately, fine-tuning content repositories to provide AI with the most authoritative inputs, and continuously optimizing based on how AI-generated outputs perform in market. By treating content not only as a channel asset but also as training and inference fuel for generative systems, the Director ensures Intuit stays ahead of how customers will discover and engage with content in an AI-first world.

Success in this area includes strong adoption of content platforms across teams, clear governance that balances flexibility with consistency, measurable improvements in velocity and quality, and demonstrable gains from GEO practices—ensuring that AI-driven personalization, campaign orchestration, and customer interactions are powered by the most accurate and brand-consistent content possible.

    Experimentation Platform Leadership

A culture of test-and-learn depends on both the platform and the practice. The Director owns the strategy and product direction for Intuit’s experimentation capabilities, ensuring marketers and product partners can design and run trustworthy tests across web, mobile, email, and other channels. The mandate is to make rigorous experimentation accessible: easy for non-technical users to set up valid tests, and powerful enough for analysts and data scientists to probe deeper. This means delivering guardrails for sample sizing and significance, intuitive workflows and reporting for speed, and integration with channel tools for reliable deployment. Beyond technology, the Director evangelizes best practices, showcases wins, and normalizes experimentation in planning cycles so that major initiatives include hypotheses, tests, and clear decision criteria. Over time, the platform will expand to support advanced methods such as multivariate testing, and AI-assisted experiment design and insights.

    Personalization Strategy

As Personalization evolves from segmented messaging to real-time, AI-driven, 1:1 decisioning, firstpage and in-session personalization, the strategy for the personalization platform becomes a key growth lever for Intuit. This Director defines and stewards the personalization platform—customer profiles, decisioning and recommendation services, targeting interfaces, and the connections that deliver the right experience across channels. Working with data science, the Director ensures predictive models and recommendations are operationalized in marketer workflows and can be measured and iterated like any other product feature. With engineering and data engineering partners, the role aligns streaming data, event instrumentation, and APIs to enable timely decisions and consistent cross-channel execution. Governance matters here as well: the Director sets principles for relevance, guards against bias, and upholds consent and preference management. Progress is measured by engagement and conversion lift, speed to deploy new strategies, and the breadth of touchpoints that use the same decision logic.

    Privacy, Compliance, and Data Governance

Trust is a product feature. The Director embeds privacy by design across MarTech platforms so that compliance enables, rather than constrains, marketing innovation. This includes leading the implementation of consent and preference management, enforcing data usage rules within tools and integrations, and ensuring secure handling of marketing data with appropriate access controls and auditing. The Director partners with Legal, Privacy, and Security to anticipate regulatory changes and translate them into productized controls, avoiding ad-hoc fixes that erode velocity or trust. Clarity for users is paramount: the role promotes transparency in how data is collected and used, and ensures customers can easily manage their choices. Internally, the Director educates teams, codifies acceptable practices, and responds quickly to incidents with root-cause and systemic remediation. The outcome is a marketing stack that teams can use confidently and customers can trust.
