Job Purpose

Herc Equipment Rentals is seeking a talented and innovative Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic team in beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dashboard development and SQL analysis, and an ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. This role requires a creative thinker who can work well with business partners to understand their needs and articulate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

What you will do...

+ Develop and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards and reports across all functional lines of business

+ Work in Teradata data warehouse and Qlik data load editor to build performant views in support of Qlik reports

+ Review SQL in existing reports for opportunities to optimize load times and improve performance for users

+ Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

+ Design and implement innovative solutions to meet business needs

+ Articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

+ Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in reports

+ Stay updated on the latest Qlik Sense features and best practices.

+ Maintain focus on information security

Requirements

+ Proven experience developing front-end reporting – preferably in Qlik Sense, but open to experience in similar tools like Tableau and Power BI

+ Strong knowledge of complex SQL queries - experience using Teradata a plus

+ Working knowledge of Python

+ Ability to work well with business partners to understand and fulfill their requirements

+ Innovative and creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset

+ Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical ideas to non-technical individuals

+ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
