Job Description

The Software Engineer will develop and maintain advanced software tools to improve analysis, productivity, and data management. This role focuses on designing and implementing automation solutions in Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. The engineer will customize workflows, build user-friendly interfaces, and ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance across systems. Leveraging AI technologies, they will optimize code development, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall software quality. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to gather requirements, deliver technical solutions, and support organizational initiatives. Responsibilities also include creating clear documentation, monitoring tool performance, and presenting findings in technical meetings. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong scripting, API integration, and system engineering experience, particularly in Atlassian tools and SharePoint development.

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience

- 5 years applicable software engineering experience.

- Active secret clearance

- Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.

- Significant experience developing process automation tools in Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Ability to work in an agile development environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to experiment with AI-driven development.

- Experience in user interface design and process workflow design.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Experience using AI-powered coding tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Tabnine.

- Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenAI APIs.

- Experience developing software requirements.

- Experience working on DoD software programs or government contracts.

- Experience with programming languages and frameworks including UML, C++, C#, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, GIT lab, SQL, PowerBI, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT.
