Job Description

On a typical day, you will lead your team through sprint planning sessions, set priorities for ongoing projects, and participate in daily standups to ensure progress and address any blockers. You will hold one-on-one meetings with engineers to support their growth, provide technical guidance, and review implementation strategies. Your role involves collaborating with other engineering teams to ensure system architecture aligns with overall product goals, sharing best practices, and driving cross-team initiatives. You will also be actively involved in designing scalable infrastructure and tools that improve developer productivity, all while maintaining high standards for security, reliability, and performance. Throughout the day, you’ll stay engaged with the latest trends in AI and ML, applying this knowledge to guide the team’s technical direction and innovation efforts.

Skills and Requirements

6+ years in full-stack development.

4+ year experience leading highly technical engineering teams (at least a team of 10)

Strong software design and architecture skills, including experience with API development and schema design.

Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript and Python, with a disciplined approach to testing and code quality. - Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks like React.

A solid understanding of the AI/ML ecosystem, including LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, and AI tooling development.

Experience working with AI service APIs (e.g., GPT-4, Gemini, speech-to-text, translation) and leveraging large language models for product development.

Demonstrated project management skills, especially with agile methodologies and tools like Jira.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design teams.

A proactive, problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Has worked at a start up company or similar. An advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Early career experience with front-end frameworks and full-stack development.

Experience developing AI/ML tooling such as UI for ML pipelines or feature stores.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and databases like MySQL, Spanner, or PostgreSQL.

Prior experience working with large language models (LLMs) and AI service APIs.
