             Job Description Day to Day: Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager for one of our top clients in the Houston area. The Field Engineer/Project Manager will ensure alignment between the new Houston facility and field operations, starting with defining technical workflows, QA/QC processes, and documentation for installation-ready assemblies. Early priorities include supporting factory setup through documentation, build travelers, and QA/QC protocols, while collaborating with design and procurement to align materials and technical data. This role will also create installation readiness procedures, coordinate FAT/SAT documentation, and develop logistics and site interface plans for pilot units. As operations scale, responsibilities expand to managing coordination between factory, logistics, and field teams, overseeing installation sequencing, testing, and turnover documentation. The position requires troubleshooting technical and installation issues in real time and capturing lessons learned for DFMA and process improvements. Ideal candidates have experience in field engineering or modular project execution within industries like oil & gas, power, or heavy industrial construction, with strong coordination and commissioning skills. Responsibilities: - Support factory setup by defining documentation, build travelers, and QA/QC protocols - Collaborate with design and procurement to align materials, submittals, and technical data - Create installation readiness procedures and coordinate FAT/SAT documentation - Develop logistics and site interface plans for early product mockups or pilot units - Support the Plant Manager in mapping out the first assembly sequences and material flow - Manage coordination between factory, logistics, and field operations for ongoing production - Oversee installation sequencing, testing, and turnover documentation - Troubleshoot technical and installation issues in real time - Capture lessons learned for DFMA and process improvement feedback loops We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Must Haves: - 5+ years’ experience in a Project Management role within heavy construction or facilities o Experience standing up or scaling offsite, modular or integration facilities • Ex: Oil & gas fabrication yards, industrial skids, automotive/aerospace production cells, or power generation o Prior commissioning experience - Strong MEP background with a focus on Mechanical and Electrical o Low voltage experience o Prior experience working with steel - Proficient in using P6 and Procore Plusses: - Prior experience standing up a modular pod for data centers Compensation: $50/hr to $65/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
