             Job Description A global medical device company is seeking a Staff Embedded Platform Engineer to join their team in San Diego, CA. This team is currently onsite 4 days a week. This team supports large volume infusion pumps that help continuously or intermittently deliver fluids, medications, blood and blood products to adult, pediatric or neonatal patients. In this role you will perform software design and programming in C++ based on information gathered from various teams, departments, and stakeholders. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for the implementation, evaluation, and testing of your own software. Technical responsibilities vary by project; however, this candidate must have a strong experience in electrical systems and embedded software support fundamentals. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering 4+ years of programming in C++ for embedded applications Experience with Real Time Operating Systems like QNX (preferred), SafeRTOS, ThreadX, SMX, OSE, or RTLinux, etc ○ Experience with QNX • Experience running a real time OS migration. • Leadership or mentorship experience • Experience highly regulated industry preferably bio/med tech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare
