• Junior SOC Analyst (Part time)

    Job Description

    One of our clients is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SOC Analyst to join our Security Operations Center team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone starting their cybersecurity career and looking to gain hands-on experience in security monitoring and incident detection.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Monitor security alerts and events from various tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, etc.)

     

    - Perform initial triage of alerts to identify potential threats or false positives

     

    - Escalate verified incidents to senior analysts or appropriate teams

     

    - Document findings and maintain accurate logs of security events

     

    Work Schedule: Part-time: 20-30 hours per week

     

    Weekdays 4PM or 5PM-7PM est (2-3 hour shifts) and most Saturdays 10AM-7PM

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat landscapes

     

    - Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis (preferred but not required)

     

    -Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certification in cybersecurity or looking or additional Part time work - Security + certification
