• Yard Clerk - Multiple Shifts

    Penske (Roseville, CA)


    Position Summary:

    Responsible for yard cleanliness, yard safety, and bi-weekly reporting. Interacts with Operations Supervisor on reporting and any issues. Cross functions with Dispatch in the office.

     

    **Pay** :

     

    $20.60/hr

    Schedule:

    • Front Half Sunday – Tuesday & E/O Wednesday 7 AM – 7 PM

    • Back Half Thursday – Saturday & E/O Wednesday 7 AM – 7 PM

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

    • Inspecting trailers and the intermodal yard.

    • 2 hour temp/fuel checks of trailers/equipment.

    • This position will be responsible for the sweeping of trailers and assisting with other yard cleaning duties as required.

    • Inputting information into computers and preparing reports, research, review, and record trailer inventory.

    • This position is primarily operating in the yard.

    • Requires outdoor work in all weather conditions.

    • Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays

    • Administrative duties (paperwork, etc.)

    • Any other tasks or duties as assigned.

    • Involve Safety team as required by location.

    • Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements.

    • Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

    • Basic computer skills preferred

    • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

    • Willingness work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
