    _*Primary location is in Killeen, must be willing to float to Lampasas as needed*_

    The role you'll contribute:

    The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients as medically prescribed, in a professional manner and within hospital standards, adhering to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.

    The value you'll bring to the team:

    Establishes, implements, and adapts individualized treatment plans, including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency.

     

    Discharges patients when maximum benefit is achieved or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines.

     

    Documents accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology.

     

    Charges patients accurately, timely, and legibly.

     

    Identifies the need for patient and caregiver education and utilizes opportunities for teaching, including discharge recommendations.

     

    Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives.

     

    Maintains clinical competencies through professional development, best practices, and serving as a clinical instructor.

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:

    **Minimum qualifications** :

    + Must have earned a minimum of a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy (unless grandfathered by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners with a Bachelors Degree).

    + Must have a current Texas Occupational Therapist license.
