The role you'll contribute:
Responsible for assisting in the smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum unit. This position assists with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider within the scope of practice. Additionally, this role functions as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures and maintains supplies and equipment on the unit. In addition, this position assists with the maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High-Level Disinfection equipment. Responsibilities for this role include performing clerical and business support tasks as assigned. This role ensures efficient and effective support for the unit's operations.

+ Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and provider.
+ Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect, collaborating with team members to achieve daily patient and family goals.
+ Provides supplies or equipment upon request for the provider, nurses, and/or anesthesia provider.
+ Responds to patients call lights promptly and notifies appropriate personnel of patients needs.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Required qualifications:
+ High School graduate or GED
+ Completion of a Surgical Tech program
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
+ Current Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration (DORA) for associates working in Colorado.
+ Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Preferred qualifications:
+ One-year patient care experience
