Manufacturing Operations Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Operations Specialist to join our production team. This hands-on position combines logistics coordination with precision assembly work, playing a critical role in our product manufacturing and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping, Receiving & Logistics
+ Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of components and materials
+ Lead point of contact for end-to-end production order fulfillment
+ Verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists
+ Organize and maintain parts and finished products inventory in designated storage areas
+ Coordinate domestic and international outbound shipments and prepare and pack products and accessories for delivery
+ Generate shipping documentation and track shipments through completion
+ Communicate with vendors and carriers regarding delivery schedules and issues
+ Maintain accurate records in inventory management tools in collaboration with Finance
+ Support Customer Success and Field Service teams to ensure field repair components are supplied when needed and RMA processes are completed and returned components are repaired on time.
Assembly
+ Assembling and testing products, identifying and correcting defects.
+ Assemble hardware modules and products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
+ Follow detailed work instructions and technical specifications to ensure quality
+ Perform quality checks and testing on assembled components and systems
+ Identify and report any defects or discrepancies during the assembly process
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, operating tools and equipment safely and effectively
+ Build reference, training, and quality control test samples for field teams and customers
+ Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards
General Operations
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, finance and commercial
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
+ Support periodic inventory audits
+ Follow all safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred or equal experience
+ 3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or electronics assembly operations
+ Prior experience in shipping and receiving processes including working with shipping brokers, and preparing documentation (including customs) for domestic and international shipping
+ Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures, and assembly drawings
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
+ Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral (position is highly interactive with multiple departments)
+ Tech savvy: Inventory management tools experience a plus, MS Outlook, O365: Word, Excel
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills
+ Ability to work effectively in an open space, team environment
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for entire shifts
+ Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of materials and products
+ Manual dexterity for assembly work requiring precision
+ Visual acuity to inspect components and read technical documentation

Position Range: $50,000 - $99,000
