Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ Responsibilities: Join a dynamic team at CTSI Informatics, and play a pivotal role in advancing clinical research at URMC by supporting their clinical data collection, analysis, and reporting. Leverage best practices in research informatics to extract and interpret complex clinical data, ensuring compliance and delivering actionable insights that drive groundbreaking research projects forward. As the go-to expert and primary liaison for researchers across the medical center, this role defines, translates, and validates intricate clinical data requests and services, collaborating closely with investigators to pinpoint data needs, resolve technical and compliance challenges, and craft customized data solutions. Document and transform business and research requirements into precise functional specifications, while partnering with CTSI Informatics colleagues, eRecord specialists, senior leadership, and fellow informaticians to accelerate transformative initiatives. Supervision and Direction Received: Reports to the Associate Director of Research Informatics. Expected to work in a collegial manner with all faculty, staff, and students, and independently manage priorities and deadlines ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS + Works closely with faculty, researchers, administrators, and/or healthcare professionals to understand clinical data needs and deliver tailored informatics and reporting solutions. + Establishes and maintains data strategy and data integrity and accuracy by partnering with IRB, Privacy Office, ISD reporting teams, and data management teams to fulfill data requests and ensure data integrity, HIPAA and regulatory compliance, consistency, and security across all research reporting systems. Works with administrators and key stakeholders to facilitate timely access to high-quality and reliable institutional data + Organizes, develops and updates methodologies and SOPs for reporting data, including report specifications, data governance policies, and data releasing protocols + Provides trend analysis and statistical reports to support strategic and operational planning, including longitudinal metrics on data request volumes and service turnaround times. + Serves as an in-house expert and supports researchers on the use of CTSI-sponsored research patient cohort discovery tools, including TriNetX and ATLAS. May mentors staff and provides guidance on use of those data query and reporting tools + Supports the administration of OMOP databases for the research community; provides training and support to researchers on effective utilization of these databases for their projects; and gathers user feedback to continuously improve and enhance database features and functionalities. + Other projects and job duties as assigned.
