    Online Technology Specialist

     

    The Online Technology Specialist (Professional Services Specialist 4) is a professional position in the Office of Transformational Learning reporting to the Director for Learning Design and Academic Technologies. The position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and supporting the daily management and functioning of Kean Global’s creation and delivery of online courses and programs and provides faculty and student support.

     

    The Online Technology Specialist is responsible for performing basic professional functions to support the Office of Transformational Learning/Kean Global. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performing technical preparation and review of all course sections in the learning management system each semester; building course content into the learning management system for new and redeveloped online courses in the learning management system; and performing related work as required. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. Some travel may also be required. This is not a remote position. This employee is expected to work on site at one of the Kean campus locations.

     

    Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience working with learning management systems in an online learning setting within an institution of higher education or in education is required. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Candidate must have strong technical knowledge and the ability to navigate technical support and multiple priorities; strong interpersonal skills; and excellent oral and written communication skills.

    In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is: $55,142.18 to $63,410.34 (Steps 1-4). Salaries for internal applicants will be based on union negotiated calculations. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance.
