             RN Urology Southwest Health 1 Positions ID: 82788 Posted On 10/03/2025 Job Overview Requirements + Requires a diploma or degree form an accredited school of nursing. + One to two years’ experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred. + Must have current and valid Registered Nurse License from the State of Wisconsin. + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain immediately after hire required. + Accurate knowledge of endoscopic/surgical instruments and techniques and knowledge of endoscopic equipment such as the cystoscope and colposcope. + Basic proficiency in word processing and Excel programs; software proficiency covering a variety of health care/clinical record applications. Work Hours We are seeking a full-time (36 hour/week) RN to work weekdays from 7:30am-5pm. Job Summary Administers nursing care to designated out-patients in a clinic setting in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and supervision of a licensed physician, physician's assistant, and/or nurse practitioner. Performs a variety of direct patient care duties in compliance with physicians' orders and appropriate protocol. Performs a variety of indirect patient care duties under the supervision of the Clinic Manager. Reviews and prepares clinical records prior to clinic dates to ensure referring physicians' notes and corresponding reports are available for the reference by the specialist. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. 1. 1. Performs patient screening assessment and provides nursing care in the clinic or procedure room as appropriate including interviewing the patient to obtain their medical history and chief complaint, performing medication reconciliation and obtaining patients' vitals. 2. Prepares the patient for exams and/or procedures, provides patient education related to planned procedures, and ensures necessary consents are obtained. 3. Performs diagnostic testing such as urinary chem-strip analysis, and bladder scanning (ultra-sound) procedures. 4. Assists physician / provider with examination, treatment and designated procedures performed in the Clinic. 5. Makes contacts to appropriate care areas to schedule patients for follow-up tests and/or procedures. 6. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of clinic equipment as appropriate. 7. Verifies that patient care areas of procedural/outpatient clinic have been cleaned and stocked and equipment returned to appropriate areas following completion of clinics/procedures. 8. Encourages and educates clinical staff regarding adherence to the standards of rooming the patient and expectations set forth by the department. 9. Complies with the requirements set forth by the organization of whom the specialist is associated with regarding rooming standards, quality compliance, and standardization of the organization. 10. Adheres to Southwest Health’s value-based behavior standards. 11. Understands and adheres to Southwest Health compliance and HIPAA standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. 12.
