Job Overview

A growing manufacturing company in Dyersville is seeking a detail-oriented **Laser Operator** to join their team. This individual will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating laser machines to cut/form/fold materials to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Program and operate laser machines, adjusting speed, feed, and path of cut for optimal results

+ Measure and position materials accurately according to job specifications and ERP instructions

+ Select and prepare materials as outlined in manufacturing orders

+ Record run times, material usage, and scrap in the M3 ERP system

+ Conduct quality checks to ensure final products meet required standards

+ Operate overhead/jib cranes and forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods

+ Minimize material waste through efficient setup and utilization

+ Maintain equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition

+ Report discrepancies in machine performance or material to management immediately

+ Log job start and finish times accurately in the system

+ Keep work area clean and comply with safety procedures and company policies

+ Properly use and store tools and equipment

+ Perform additional tasks and support other departments as needed

Requirements:

+ Previous experience operating laser or CNC machinery preferred

+ Familiarity with ERP systems (M3 experience is a plus)

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders

+ Forklift and crane operation experience preferred

+ Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
