Our Chaplains Office provides emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff of all faiths and backgrounds. We’re here to listen, comfort, and offer guidance during both moments of challenge and celebration. The Chaplains Office Supervisor is The Chaplains Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing spiritual care services, ensuring compassionate support is provided to patients, families, and staff. They coordinate chaplain activities and maintain alignment with the organization’s mission and values. You would ensure You would ensure every patient, family member, and staff colleague receives compassionate spiritual care that honors their individual beliefs and emotional needs. • Enhanced emotional intelligence and active listening skills through daily interaction with patients, families, and staff in diverse situations.
• Strengthened leadership and crisis support abilities by coordinating spiritual care responses during critical events.
• Deepened understanding of interfaith practices, cultural sensitivity, and holistic approaches to patient well-being.

• Provides emotional and spiritual care for patients, families, and staff of all faiths and backgrounds.
• Contributes monthly articles to the Clinical Chronicle, Medical and Dental Staff Newsletter, and Soul Care e-Journal.
• Hosts educational workshops and information luncheons for area ministers, clinical staff, and the community.
(Unit / Dept.) Training & Onboarding Culture
+ New staff and volunteer chaplains receive orientation and in-service education tailored to spiritual care and patient interaction.
+ Ongoing training emphasizes compassion, emotional support, and respect for diverse religious and cultural needs.
+ Regular meetings provide guidance, shared learning, and discussion of procedures for patient visits and family support.
Essential Job Duties:
+ Coordinate the Hospital Chaplaincy and Patient Representative Programs, providing emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff.
+ Plan and organize workshops and information luncheons for area ministers, clinical staff, and the community.
+ Recruit, train, and guide volunteer chaplains; facilitate ongoing meetings for discussion and support.
+ Participate in new employee orientation to educate staff on patient rights, chaplain services, and customer care.
+ Promote religious and cultural diversity through programs such as the Diversity Fair, Soul Care e-Journal, and other inclusive initiatives.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences preferred, with at least one year of experience in chaplaincy or a related field. Previous training in grief, death and dying, or related seminars is highly desirable.
