Summary: The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Finance Team responsible for overseeing complex accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and guiding junior staff. This role requires advanced knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze financial data to support business decisions. Responsibilities: + Prepare, review and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations. manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals. + Perform budget variance analysis, evaluate expense trends, and prepare materials for close meetings. + Work with budget holders according to Finance leadership's instructions to prepare operating expense budgets, and present proposed budgets during review meetings with senior leadership. + Support Liaison Departments with Financial systems like PennFor Financials & Supply Management, and reporting tools such as CSF Analytics. + Coordinate and support external reporting internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial planning. + Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance financial operations. + Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing training and guidance as needed. + Maintains standards of confidentiality.
