Position Description:
Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Practitioner (CRNP) to lead its Psychiatric Consult liaison Service. The Lead Advanced Practitioner will provide daily clinical and operational management for the advanced practitioners (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) within the department of Behavioral Health in support of institutional and departmental missions. The Lead Advanced Practitioner will directly partner with the Director of Advanced Practice Practitioners Director of Operations, and Director of Behavioral Health for the department on best practices, implementation of performance measures, program development and other operational goals. They will also collaborate with the entity and institutional directors of advanced practice on professional role development and APP related initiatives and opportunities. The Lead Advanced Practitioner is also responsible for coordination of, and supporting the psychiatric rotation for our Family Medicine Residency Program.
Position Requirements:
+ Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program.
+ Current, unrestricted Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) license in Pennsylvania.
+ Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (PMHNP-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
+ Valid, unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number.
+ Minimum of three to five years of clinical experience as a psychiatric APP, preferably in an inpatient or acute care setting.
Preferred:
+ Supervisory Experience in a hospital-based or academic medical center environment
