Because when we connect by understanding what makes people different, we can create unforgettable experiences that enrich lives. Join us at razorfish.com.

    Overview

We’re looking for an **Associate Creative Director, Experience Design** to lead small, high-performing teams in crafting thoughtful, intuitive digital experiences, primarily across website and digital product ecosystems. You’ll translate strategy and data into structure and storytelling, balance multiple workstreams, and elevate the craft of UX, IA, and systems design in partnership with Creative Directors, Product, Strategy, Content, and Technology.

This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in-office each week. If you’re contacted for an interview, your recruiter will discuss specifics, including any reasonable accommodations.

    Responsibilities

+ Lead multi-track experience design programs from discovery through delivery, scope, estimate, and plan XD work against timelines and resources

+ Translate business goals, brand strategy, and audience insights into experience strategy artifacts (journeys, IA, flows, service/eco maps, hypotheses, benchmarks)

+ Create and guide wireframes, interaction models, and prototypes across devices; ensure usability, accessibility, and performance are built in

+ Build and evolve design systems (component libraries, patterns, guidelines) that drive consistency, scalability, and craft excellence

+ Facilitate client workshops, co-creation sessions, and stakeholder interviews; bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces and align teams on direction

+ Partner closely with Strategy, Analytics/Data Science, Media, and Creative to integrate quantitative/qualitative insights into decisions and measure impact

+ Present work with clear rationale; defend recommendations in the context of user needs, brand expression, and business outcomes

+ Mentor designers across levels; provide actionable feedback, enhancing the craft, and model collaborative, inclusive team behaviors

+ Collaborate with Engineering and Product Strategy on feasibility, handoff, and delivery; author/maintain annotated specs and documentation

+ Anticipate and manage scope/requirements changes; translate constraints into options and next steps for clients and teams

+ Champion the XD practice, process improvements, ways of working, and knowledge sharing that strengthen community and craft

    Qualifications

+ 5+ years in experience design/UX/IA, with 2+ years leading teams or tracks in a digital agency or consultancy

+ Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, complex IA, multi-platform experiences, and measurable outcomes

+ Expert in user-centered methods (discovery, audits, heuristics, prototyping, testing) and translating insights into structure and interaction

+ Proven experience building/evolving design systems for large websites or product ecosystems; fluency in responsive and component-based design

+ Comfortable operating in agile or hybrid delivery; strong planning, estimation, and prioritization skills across multiple workstreams

+ Excellent client presence and storytelling skills with client contacts; able to align diverse teams around clear decisions

+ Tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, presentation tools (Keynote/PowerPoint)

+ Experience integrating analytics/experimentation (A/B, multivariate) into design iteration

+ Automotive category experience is a plus

+ Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction/Information Design, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience

***Please include resume with portfolio link***
