Chevron is accepting online applications for the position **Land Assistant** through **November 9th, 2025** at **11:59 p.m.** ( **Central Time** ).
The Land Assistant supports the land organization by scanning, importing, and indexing land business documents using Kofax Total Agility and ThoughtTrace. This role ensures accurate document management, cross-references owner and property data in SAP PRA and other land systems and provides key extracts for litigation and business needs. The Land Assistant performs quality control, participates in document integration projects, and assists with troubleshooting and training. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with document management software are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
+ Utilize the Kofax Total Agility application to scan, import, index & cross reference Land Administration and Land business documents into ThoughtTrace (Document Intelligence).
+ Review Land documents and add key indexing data elements.
+ Utilize SAP Production Revenue Accounting (PRA) system and other Land systems (QLS/ LandView) to establish owner and property cross references.
+ Provide metadata and document extracts for litigation and Land.
+ Understand document retention guidelines and determine final disposition of documents.
+ Perform routine quality control reviews on scanned & imported documents.
+ Participate in upfront planning and implementation of document integrations resulting from acquisitions.
+ Provide input on business needs and imaging and system requirements and participate in testing during imaging system upgrades or changes.
+ Assist others with document scanning, importing, indexing and research projects as necessary.
+ Troubleshoot system access issues and assist others with training and access.
Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma.
+ Proficient in Kofax Total Agility, ThoughtTrace (Document Intelligence), SAP PRA, and QLS/ LandView with an aptitude for learning other software packages.
+ Prior experience in the use of databases to accomplish business objectives.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
+ Self-motivated to consistently and competently achieve assigned responsibilities with accuracy and in a timely manner.
+ Recognizes & proposes opportunities to deliver efficient & effective results.
+ Strong understanding of windows concepts including file management and data types.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially SharePoint, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe PDFs.
+ Experience working with Oil & Gas Documentation and ability to interpret them.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Basic understanding of VBA and batch file Scripting.
