             Position Summary... Join our Commercial Litigation team as Associate Counsel, Commercial & Consumer Litigation! In this role, you’ll lead litigation strategy for a busy portfolio of consumer and commercial disputes, including the Company’s small claims docket. As Associate Counsel, you will manage all aspects of threatened and actual litigation, including direct engagement with opposing parties and counsel, setting strategy, editing legal filings, managing discovery, supervising outside counsel when necessary, and collaborating closely with internal clients and partners. You will spot risks for remediation, identify emerging trends, and advise the company on legal rights and obligations. Exercising exceptional judgment and litigation skills, you will help the Company navigate a complex and changing legal landscape. What you'll do... + Develop legal strategies for consumer and commercial disputes + Directly engage with unrepresented parties and opposing counsel to resolve disputes + Retain and manage qualified outside counsel when necessary + Set budgets and closely manage litigation expenses + Provide actionable, clear, and timely advice to internal clients + Recognize operational risks and work with stakeholders to remediate them + Identify emerging litigation trends, spot issues across matters, and ensure consistency of positions What you’ll bring… + At least two years of experience in consumer and commercial disputes + Experience with arbitration procedures + Thought leadership thinking critically about the law, staying abreast of changes in the legal landscape, and contributing meaningfully to legal discourse and scholarship + Communicating complicated legal principles in a way that is easily understood and delivers decisive advice that can be acted upon by busy non-lawyers + The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work with a sense of urgency + Excellent legal writing + Consistent good judgment and keen instincts + Process-mindedness having implemented solutions to streamline litigation management + Serving as a technologist and early adopter + Friendly with a sense of humor _The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
